Brass Tacks Of Bibliomancy

Shall we get down to the brass tacks of bibliomancy?

Actually, I have to back up, then we can. You cannot imagine something that has no basis in reality. Now take a sensitive person. They pick up a lot of stuff, things they sometimes can’t process, but it’s still in their head. Having picked up all this stuff, well… It gives them more “words” in their head, though it doesn’t have to be words. It can be images, sounds, or concepts formed in another way, but none of this extra stuff in their head is formless. It all has form and given time they can “read” it. It paints their picture with more details.

Now to bibliomancy, and you may see why I backed up. Nothing in your head is formless. Nothing in your head is without “words”. This is why in psycho-analysis they use word association, but it can be sounds or even body language. It just has to be language.

Bibliomancy is like running a magnet over the ground to pick up metal filings? The words pick up the thought forms in our head? That’s exactly what it’s like, and all the words are associated.

To practice bibliomancy, you pick up a book or let your eyes go over another source of words, and read until a word strikes you. It doesn’t matter where you start reading. This is why you open the book at random. When the word strikes you, you focus on it. Then close and open the book again at random, and read until another word strikes you. You may be surprised at how coherent this is. You can get as many words as you need until you sense the answer to your question. It can be just one or it can be that a whole sentence or passage strikes you, and that in itself is your answer.

Like mining your brain? It is exactly like mining your brain.

Ok. There was a missing part, and I will now ask what the missing part of this technique is?

  • Forming intent? Close, but not quite. You can do bibliomancy without being clear on why you are.
  • Desire? Closer.
  • Something about state of mind which does fluctuate, influences? Almost on.

You must be moved by language; sound language, body language, emotion language. You must have that feeling that you need to “speak”, that you need to express. It will not strike you if you do not.

Something has to want to get out? Yes. Otherwise you will get psychic noise, or get what you expect to see and not much more.

It can’t be called on demand for a parlour trick? It can be done on demand yes, but the secret of any divination on demand, well… It’s like meditation. The person has to be able to put themselves into that state and this cannot be learned from the technique itself.

Divination helps, but you get out of divination what you bring to it. Your head a mess? Your reading will be a mess.

The wise people of the world created their “strange” ways of living really for one purpose. Anything else they did stemmed from this one purpose. They all live in ways that let them be clear and aware. Monks, Kahunas, Shamans. The exact style differs and even what they contact can, but their purpose in all of it is to stay in touch. If being in touch teaches them knowledge or skills that lets them make life better, well, that’s good too, but they are seeking awareness first and last.

Your thoughts are welcome. Be well friends.
