How to Counter Subjugation

Denial is insufficient counter for all the forces involved behind subjugation magick. If you reject every form of stimuli the world has to offer, you will still not be free. Idle minds are the puppet master’s playground. What you refuse to hear just goes more directly to your subconscious mind.

Even science points out that anything you consciously screen is just fed more directly into your amygdala. It begins to condition you from the animal and emotional level up without conscious overlay. This is why the elaborate rituals are so powerful. You don’t have to understand the why or wherefore of the shamans whooping and hollering, you are still triggered anyway. Your survival instinct and defense become bolstered by their targeted body language and the paints and ointments they apply.

But there is something that can work and will work. Your brain has limited resources, limited channels for information. Remember what I said about power being in the hands of the story teller?

To take from a popular figure from the television series Myth Busters, you can practice this motto. “I reject your reality and substitute my own!” The same processes that get used on you can be used by you to preserve the integrity of your own mind and spirit, but simple denial won’t do that.

So hex them back, in other words? In a sense, yes.

“I do not personally relate to the mythology behind your narrative…”? Exactly. Neither relate to, nor identify with, that mythology.

The domains of reality they use are much more vast and deep than the shallow tableaus they are choosing to show us. You have to do more. You have to find your place in that same field. Find your own power in that domain. In a sense, you make the rules you live by. You hex or curse yourself, or you bless yourself and others, but without deliberate engagement what you aren’t using will be used anyway. If you choose not to decide, a choice will be made for you.

Exercise your desire, not be ruled by other’s desires. Yes, indeed. Use your desire.

Everyone seen the movie Crocodile Dundee? Remember the scene where he calms that big dog? You have an inner beast. If you won’t engage it, it will be baited by others. But it’s not difficult to engage, and with loyal interaction your inner watch dog can even become loyal to whatever model of reality you create for it, become resistant to other forms of distraction. But mostly people interact with this part of themselves on a touch and go basis, mostly leaving it starved for experience of “life.”

Your thoughts are welcome. Be well friends.
