We have a root too, my friend. The mandala of the soul has a center.

Morpheus in Spirits

Spirits

When Morpheus gets to be all broody, as he does from time to time, he leaves marks, often strangely intense human faces. Find you react intensely to subtle facial expressions?

Yes. He also leaves a sort of floor plan in one’s mind. Feel like you are often stuck in a large house or museum like structure?

In my dreaming? Yes. Not in a structure, but I often have a trapped feeling. Ah, lights out.

A need to move about but unable to. He is being a bit of a jerk to you. There is something that would show up in your waking life. Feel like you can organize things you see and hear in your head? Like everything and everyone fits a category or has a label?

Generally, yes, most of the time. And like this system is not your own?

Not sure I’ve examined it that deeply. Not nightmarish, but not comforting either?

I think I’ve just assumed it was a lazy habit of mine. Did you have the habit before him?

I don’t know. He was 20 odd years ago. Well, there is something that might help the lights out condition. Do you find you feel an odd attraction to sad music, like it makes you feel happy?

Attracted, yes. It’s just soothing, not sure about the happy part. Feel more free when listing to it? Maybe you aren’t the excitable type.

Sometimes. It’s more like I don’t have to focus when I listen to it. Well, Morpheus doesn’t like sad music. Listen to it before bed for a while and his influence should pass.

Feel you understand dreams and their native spirits a little better? Oneirois are why dreams can persist. You aren’t the source, just temporarily in touch.

Your thoughts are welcome. Be well friends.
