Spirituality for Living

We contact spirits in the same way we sense our loved ones at a distance. A divinatory method isn’t absolutely necessary. In fact you are likely more in contact than you may have realized you are. The contained system we think our bodies and minds to be really isn’t. Just because we incarnated doesn’t mean we are disconnected from spiritual existence. The body is much like a house. It is a cell colony of a bunch of different organisms that we enter into a symbiotic relationship with. We become its guiding intelligence. But in fact we can open “our” bodies and our minds. Deliberately. From using a oija board to let them tap our ideo motor response, to being receptive as we shuffle tarot cards.

Ideo motor response is the tendency our nervous systems have to allow our internally psychological dialogue to play out in body language and mannerism. It can be expressed in some really abstract ways more so than we usually think of.

We can even just simply put out a request for contact by meditating on it before bed, or even just allowing ourselves to feel the living presences around us. No big mystery necessary. However, oneiromancy is a bit challenging and a random request without focus is seen on the spirit level much like we see a person walking down the street talking to themselves. It is sort of left alone.

There are different modes of contact and the modes of communication are for us not them. However, for our own understanding we have to limit it. We tend to embody things to make them concrete for our own understanding and focus. It is not a need of the spirits. To make productive use of the contact, our brains give it a focus. So is a half truth, true from the human level not from the spirit. But it won’t due to deride the method because the truth differs. The microscope isn’t useless because it distorts the exact appearance of the microbe.
