Spirituality for Living

In human experience, we don’t live in just one world, but rather three. The middle world, which involves what we experience and what we think we see in our world. The upper world or the heavens. The realm of higher thought and inspiration. The lower world or underworld. The realm just below our senses and beneath what we considered our faculties of reason.

The underworld is not literally in the earth. It isn’t beneath your feet, but it is in the direction of falling. Internally, we shift into the underworld when our falling awareness is triggered. It’s a very visceral, animal like shift in consciousness. There are forces running through all three worlds, but the same forces show three different faces. Perhaps the most important thing to remember is that life is the law and a rule running through all worlds.

This facet of the world has always existed and always will exist. It’s one part of the necessary balance our world takes to allow the growth we can experience in the normal world, and event’s in all three worlds parallel each other.

Three Worlds

The most simple patterns and symbols are universal throughout human spiritual and metaphysical experience. Many names are given to these symbols, but they do show a notable similarity across cultures. Today, we are talking about the world, and more specifically the underworld. Underworld State

One enters the underworld state, at least to a shallow level, whenever the lower centers of awareness are activated. (I use the term lower not to mean lesser but rather foundational, primary.) Powers Of The Underworld

The heavens have their own presences and processes that mirror and compliment those of the underworld, but the underworld has a few repeating paths. Things that surface in experience and the minds eye as well as in dreams. Where the heavens have apathy, the underworld has fury. Where the heavens have inspiration, the underworld has provocation. We all bear emotional scars. We all have traces of suffering in our memories. To the degree that we hang our hearts on these things, our spirit is shaped by them, and the most obsessive beings continue to linger in the underworld with appearances that reflect the things that were most meaningful for them in life.
