'Dragon Lore' Articles
What were dragons? That’s not as easy to define as might be thought. For one thing, they were known universally for having either powers of concealment or shape changing. As a rule, they generally only become known as dragons when some action on their part reveals their nature, and possibly even their forms. Dragons live for ages. They are “spirits of an aeon”, but they do pass in time, and their spark can pass into mortal form.
“To attract good fortune, spend a new penny on an old friend, share an old pleasure with a new friend and lift up the heart of a true friend by writing his name on the wings of a dragon.” Proverb quote
“And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.” Bible quotes
Dragon lore is very old. It actually even extends into human prehistory. All cultures across the world speak of a time before the form and order of today’s world was “fixed”, and of powers dwelling in the world that predate humanity in both sentience and insight. Many of these still exist in the human species memory, and have been reflected in our own consciousness even if the original presence seems to be gone. Specifically, one of the most influential creatures of the terran “dreamtime” were dragons. Originally creator kings/queens of a sort, and would come to be the model of… Seek More

It was said that a dragons roar could disturb the harmony of nature itself. They now know that animals are distressed before a seismic disturbance by an actual sound called “black noise”. A dragon roaring from the underworld? I might ask, what’s the difference really? The rulers of the Chinese dynasties were often seen as either the adopted sons of dragons, or as having dragons in their literal lineage as dragons were the children of heaven, but still very much of the earth. In a more modern belief, they say that an alien species of reptile live among us, and… Seek More

Ultimately, in both schools of thought (and I find this very strange) whether monstrous or angelic, the dragon was said to have remarkable powers of healing and to grant wisdom. Autism, whether it’s attributed to environmental or medical abuses or just a genetic abnormality, has been found to be linked to an over rapid development of the “brains”, of which there are three in the human cranium. Now normally they developed one at a time and in developmental stages so they sort of operate separately. In autistics they don’t, and autistics are known for having a tendency to allergies. This… Seek More

Are dragons an entity akin to angels in the metaphysical world or a species of angel? They are not angels, but not beneath angels. In the beliefs that deal with dragons, there was always a path to meeting with dragons, and it was always seen as intense, challenging, dangerous, because it always involved confronting the passions as does dealing with the inner serpents in kundalini or “serpent” yoga. Were they primarily demonized in Christianity and hence went underground in our culture? Yes, but even where revered, they still required struggle of seekers. A sort of baptism by fire. Might be… Seek More

What is your personal take on the whole modern resurgence, or rather, a reworking of dragon myth for modern man in the reptilian theory? Well, the humanizing is a semi-enlightenment. The alien conspiracy phobia is a crock though, and really even the whole “alien” idea. Not to say there are no extra-terrestrial intelligences, but humans are just hugely narrow minded, and they are in for a horrible shock once they realize terra is not and never has been a gated community. We’re self centered in the idea that a reptilian species would want to control us all and make us… Seek More
