'Fae' Articles

We live along side other beings that are mortal, much like we are, but that exist in a different way. The Fae world doesn’t follow the same cycles as the human world does. They exist on earth, but in a mirror of the earth we know. Our daytime is not theirs.

In most parallel earths, psychic sensitivity is more a rule than a supposed gift, and their senses are broader in general. More “metaphysical” from a human point of view, but the different senses mean different behaviour, different world view. Humans seem to have a really hard time wrapping their mind around any picture of the earth bigger than their own.

“Some day you will be old enough to start reading fairy tales again.” C.S. Lewis (British Scholar and Novelist. 1898-1963)

“If you see the magic in a fairy tale, you can face the future.” Danielle Steel

“This is a work of fiction. All the characters in it, human and otherwise, are imaginary, excepting only certain of the fairy folk, whom it might be unwise to offend by casting doubts on their existence. Or lack thereof.” Neil Gaiman (English born American Novelist, Journalist, Screenwriter, b.1960)

Other Beings

Shall we speak of Fairies? It is perhaps not as simple as people think it is. The first thing to understand about Fae is perhaps the structure of the natural world. The general populace believes that there is a single pattern of incarnation in the world. Even science is losing its belief in that, though they are fighting it. They have found an organism that uses arsenic in its biology. Something they thought impossible. Well… In the magickal world, there has always been an understanding that humans were not the only “people” born into the world. We just incarnate in… Seek More

Fae World

The Fae world doesn’t follow the same cycles as the human world does. They exist on earth, but in a mirror of the earth we know. Our daytime is not theirs. Why do humans have such a short life compared to the hundreds of years that elves and Fae can span? In part, because humanity forgot natures gifts, and chooses to live in ways that make nature have an immune reaction to them. The Fae keep harmony. Fae draw life from their kinship to nature. They share a link to the same nature we know, but an elf (for lack… Seek More

Fairy Tale

In Fae earth, the domains of life are less rigidly separated. The sea doesn’t have the strict physical conditions it does here, nor does the air, or the earth itself, and Fae claim much more of their world for their own than we do ours. We dream of flying because our cousins the Fae actually do fly. We dream of surviving under the water without support, and walking as if it were dry land, because they do. Is this why we call them fairy tales? Very likely. Our dreams of magic and happily ever after. Also our nightmares of being… Seek More

Fae Wyrd

In our world, there is a whole class of magic, commonly called charms, that humans learned from or adapted from their contact with Fae. Just as they can use the forces of their earth to affect ours, we can often access the same forces or imitate their work with the energies of our world. This is the origin of what is sometimes called “hedge” witchcraft in our world. The old rhymes and charms that women used to practice, though they wouldn’t have called themselves witches. Women being very intuitive and generally were seen as equals, or had a chance to… Seek More

Fae Romance

I have always felt dragons and Fae were very closely linked like cousins. Bound in my ways. They are cousins, dragons being their elder. This is why dragons are protective of the Fae. Moulded from a similar cloth, but went in opposite directions. I always think Fae and dragons were born to fall in love with each other. Dragons fall in love with maidens of all stripes. Daemons in general are highly sexual creatures. Compared to humans they are living embodiments of passion, all passions. I find being a Fae in role play does get me more male attention. In… Seek More

Contact With Fae

I was probably 16, and it was night time. I was asleep in my room. My mother got up because the dogs were barking and she turned the light on in the hallway. I woke up and saw the light shine into my room under the door. On the floor of my room was a little man. A dimensional breach always generates light, though often dull. He had long limbs and was kind of folded up. Elbow on one knee, and he seemed to be reading something. He had large almond shaped eyes and they were gold. He had curly… Seek More
