Unfortunately today, people have to find a path of education in their hobbies rather then their employment. Yes, but some path is better than no path. Regrettably, they just reproduce what they are accustomed to, and Grandmas knitting becomes a subject of anxiety for her. A way to prove that she’s still valuable to her family, supposedly. But a way that never works and cannot actually work.
If money was never invented would we be better off? We would establish some trade in resources. Money is not the root of all evil. The model of values that lead to our system of money is. Money reflects material. When the human being is reduced to material, human substance is cheap. I could buy the exact mass of material that is present in your body for less than 20 dollars.
In the ancient cultures, you would favour anything produced by your own family or tribe. The reason you did is because these things they made were considered to have spiritual power. To share in the spiritual blessing of the people. They did trade with other peoples, but they were always sort of restricted about it. A sort of spiritual questioning along the lines of, “Who knows where that has been?” The Native American peoples originally had that opinion about fire arms. They eventually started preferring them out of desperation. Desperation leads to death. In their case almost literally. How many people are desperate these days?
I see many here in Second Life. It’s wide spread. It makes some regions of the main grid down right vulgar as they try to satisfy peoples desperation for the liberty they think they can find here. Desperate. Out of loneliness, despair, lack of self worth, etc. Desperation leads to depression. Depression is also called withdrawal. The failure of education.
Education has nothing to do with slapping down some creed / dogma and expecting people to live up to it. Real education is someone taking responsibility for advancing the art of thought.
Your thoughts are welcome. Be well friends.
