The order is illusory, but when I speak of things being illusory, that’s not a criticism. Illusion is pragmatic. We function not in the real world, but in a virtual reality even when nowhere near our computers. We need our perceptions to be real enough to be functional, but we cannot make them perfectly accurate. What do you think of that?
Eye witnesses often can’t be trusted even if they think they are telling the truth. It’s been proven scientifically they can’t. False recollections are easily induced, and their bias on looking at the possible culprit will make them skew their reports as well. If something is ‘truthy’ enough, we tend to believe it’s true.
All of us do that, out of court, as it were – when we make judgements about our experience. It’s true we do. We function from an internal narrative, but words are only one part of that production. The script has other elements it works with. We also work with a production media, like the camera technology and whatnot in producing a big budget movie.
You mean our senses? Well, even deeper than our conventional senses.
Like, special effects? Indeed special effects, coincidence and “random” circumstance being two big special effects technologies. Life is information. Some forms of life give every appearance of being one way channels. The rock doesn’t do too much that is apparent to us when we kick it across the parking space say, but the constructs we call life both receive stimuli and produce reactions to it.
How do we know a person is alive?
Breathing, heart beating.
They send something back? Yes.
Movement, change.
Their bodies react to stimuli that arise from chemical and physical processes, acting to maintain the open information channel, and that information starts well before we have the gross physical structures we can observe to be doing the breathing and moving.
So, potential information, then? I will get into that.
Your thoughts are welcome. Be well friends.
