Black Magick
Magick is both an art and a science. The insights and wisdom and other lore of magick are focused on effective ways of dealing with the world. What contrasts black magick from white magick is not what people call good and evil. What distinguishes black magick from white magick is it’s orientation in regards to the cosmic background or context. The black magician sees the carrying out of one’s own personal will as the ultimate contribution to truth and the most honest way of keeping in touch with reality.
In black magickal thinking, power is the evidence of truth, but there is the potential for a more enlightened approach to black magick. True power isn’t separated from purposes, and the wise black magician always keeps their sense of purpose clear.
“That’s the thing with magic. You’ve got to know it’s still here, all around us, or it just stays invisible for you.” Charles de Lint (Celtic folk musician and story teller, b.1951)
“Disbelief in magic can force a poor soul into believing in government and business.” Tom Robbins (American Novelist. b.1936)
