Dukkha
Everything is mortal. It’s all ash and rot and dust in the wind. That’s the world in one way of viewing it. It’s a very common way to view it. Those who follow the left hand path do not seek liberation from dukkha. They engage suffering itself as a presence, an essence, and they practice rites and engage in experiences that highlight their awareness of suffering.
Those on the dark path seek to realize consciously what others forget in the grips of Maya or illusion. That we incarnated for our own satisfaction. The ultimate satisfaction being the complete extinction of desire. When you achieve that point, your atman, or personal self, implodes in a blaze of creative glory like a super nova, and all things take on that offering to their betterment in the unfolding of the next cycle.
“Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars.” Kahlil Gibran (Lebanese born American philosophical Essayist, Novelist and Poet. 1883-1931)
“Joy lies in the fight, in the attempt, in the suffering involved, not in the victory itself” Mahatma Gandhi (Indian Philosopher, internationally esteemed for his doctrine of nonviolent protest, 1869-1948)
