Necronomicon

The Necronomicon(s) are both a guide for the outward bound and for the returning. There have been many forms of a Necronomicon throughout the world and history, and they all exist for one reason. To explain the state of existence that perhaps can only really be described as “beyond.” They often impart a sense of purpose and meaning for the person whose mind now may only seem “broken” to those who have never made the crossing. There is no death, not even there, but that change that allows going beyond is actually more frightening than organic death. This is why people choose to exist in any other way for so long before they move beyond.

“Nor is it to be thought that man is either the oldest or the last of earth’s masters, or that the common bulk of life and substances walks alone. The Old Ones were, the Old Ones are, and the Old Ones shall be. Not in the spaces we know, but between them, They walk serene and primal, undimensioned and to us unseen.” The Dunwich Horror

“That is not dead which can eternal lie, And with strange aeons even death may die.” The Nameless City
