Gender Identity

I’d love to hear your thoughts on gender identity. It’s a good topic. A complex one. I will offer this thought in passing, and go into more depth as the topic deserves it. If you look at creation/nature, gender doesn’t seem to be an absolute really, and even in the course of human foetal development there is at first only one “gender”, female. Nature doesn’t seem to like the gender separation idea as much as humans do. If it could be said to have any prejudice at all, it’s in favour of female. There is actually a species of lizards that is all female. They have sexual behaviour, but not actual sexual fertilization. One female engages another in a way that stimulates the ovulation of a fertile egg. There is a species of frogs that even has a process of gender selection. It fluctuates according to environmental circumstances that season, but enough of the trivia.

Nature tends to like things to be whole. It’s only human thinking that makes a big fuss about how things are balanced.

“One day our descendants will think it incredible that we paid so much attention to things like the amount of melanin in our skin or the shape of our eyes or our gender instead of the unique identities of each of us as complex human beings.” Franklin Thomas

“It’s the idea that well, maybe people aren’t born a particular biological sex, or they are but that shouldn’t determine their gender identity. And that’s a very big component of the homosexual activist agenda now.” Bob Knight
