Rejection
Without any intention on your own, you will try to identify anyone you meet, and identify yourself in the context of relating to them. We experience the desire to reject when we experience non-recognition. To the degree that someone fails to impress our instinctive mind as “healthy” is the degree to which we will attempt to disconnect from them.
We react as if we are physically a part of any group we feel a part of, and we treat social rejection of any kind not just as an intellectual complication, but as a threat to our physical well-being. Handling rejection is simply managing the social body. Respect your part in it. Just as in nature, most things are not your enemy. In the social ecosystem, most people are not your enemy.
“You have people come into your life shockingly and surprisingly. You have losses that you never thought you’d experience. You have rejection and you have learn how to deal with that and how to get up the next day and go on with it.” Taylor Swift
“Human beings, like plants, grow in the soil of acceptance, not in the atmosphere of rejection” John Powell
