Atheism
Atheism is a valuation of material sense impression as primary, and really exists more as a counter belief than a belief. Atheism has two aspects; negative atheism and affirmative atheism. Atheism isn’t a rejection of all beliefs. The philosophy of ethics is still seen as a legitimate line of speculation. They don’t reject philosophy as a whole, just theistic reasoning, the lines of reasoning associated with theology.
“I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.” Stephen Roberts
“In some awful, strange, paradoxical way, atheists tend to take religion more seriously than the practitioners.” Jonathon Miller
“I’m not an athiest. How can you not believe in something that doesn’t exist? That’s way too convoluted for me.” A. Whitney Brown
