Where Is The Problem?

We all will have a focus, but how do we know we are focused? How do we even know what focus is?

If you conform to a standard you’re kind of being controlled by the creators of that standard instead of flowing with your own nature. Very true. We say we have a focus if something has our attention, is this not so?

Look at our life to see what our focus is? You can look at your life, and you will see that you have a limited set of objects of attention. This is quite natural and nothing to judge yourself over, but what if your focus is on things you judge negatively? What or who is actually impacted? If all I see is negatives, does that mean all there is is negatives? Or is it the world mirroring me?

For you, yes. Yes, for me it does mean that, but will the world fix it for me?

If you ask? You can only ask when your focus gives you the vision to see another choice. Before then, you know of no other choice, or am I wrong?

Realizing you have a problem is the first step? I would disagree. Realizing you have no problem is the first step. That there is no external thing that is “your problem.” I always find it interesting when people tell me what my problem is. I like it when people show me themselves. I am not their problem, they are, and my problem is my problem if I want to have one. Or I can have a focus that lets me see the way of things between me and them, or between me and the situation. If I choose that, then where is the problem?

It is said that some people are addicted to negative energy, in a way it makes them feel good. Negative energy can make people feel more secure. A case of “better the devil you know” as they say.

What problem? Exactly. There is no problem. Let’s say I get into an argument. I can believe in the argument. That it is an argument and that arguments have a set meaning, or I can see the exchange of words that another might call an argument as an exchange of words. Consider if there are any words that help me, and take those with me or just move on if there is nothing to gain. If I do that, then where is the “argument”? The choices open up not because they weren’t there then magically were. The choices open up when I recognize that my focus is mine.

I’ve found that, and it was amazing when they opened up. There is a sense of freedom. Isn’t that what everyone wants?

It’s also a bit scary at first. Like a little kid who finds out they can really have the cookie. It’s scary to get what you want. Often in getting it, you wind up not knowing what to do with it, but you can strategize and plan. We are all grown ups with a fair bit of experience regarding cause and effect.

Your thoughts are welcome. Be well friends.
