Ever have emotions you didn’t feel?
I’ve had moments when I’ve noticed myself reflexively starting to have an emotion and then realized that it was silly because I didn’t feel it. It’s like the other person expected it and I had to oblige them.
I think when they are induced by other people. Yes, but they have the same impact even when triggered by our own thoughts, because the two are inevitably linked. Can you have an emotion and genuinely accept your present moment?
Or when watching something with schmaltzy music trying to overtly manipulate your emotions. Indeed, music is largely the script of emotion, social expectation.
I don’t think so. I think you’re trying to prove something.
It seems like it would be very difficult if possible at all.
So many hot topic issues (abortion, discriminations, etc.) would be solved if people went to feeling and not emotion in their reactions.
In the present moment, I can feel joy. Is that an emotion? A social expectation? In the present moment, I can also feel fear and pain. Are they by themselves emotions? Social cues?
Society doesn’t care if you’re joyful. You are right. Society doesn’t care if I feel joy. It has no use for my joy but reality does. It speaks to reality and is brought about by the motions of reality.
When I am joyful, children tend to be relaxed, animals friendly, my perception clears and I see in a way that what appears to be my immediate situation seems in no way confining any more than one room of your home keeps you from entering the other one.
Because you can induce your own emotions into other beings. Actually, I am not inducing emotion. Joy overrides emotion, because emotion itself is an aberration. Our core beings don’t want to deal with these ideas, these prejudices.
Joy is a kind of energy, isn’t it? It is yes, and it’s shared between living things. Joy heals.
All feeling is a kind of energy, isn’t it? It is, yes.
Your thoughts are welcome. Be well friends.
