Unfortunately right now, humanities level of consciousness is like a parade of the blind. The blind leading the blind, but even this has its merits.

On the causal level, you are not the only body present. There are other causal agents as well. The reason it seems like that level has nothing to do with this one is the context is too broad for our neurological equipment, but not for our consciousness itself.

So the logic of causation seems to defy our senses, but it doesn’t defy observation. It’s why the conspiracy nuts seem to have so much fuel for their delusions. Intelligence behind events is not the exception, it’s the rule.

Squirrels! Squirrels have causal bodies also. Yes, but do they conspire? They cooperate with each other better than humans do. So in a sense, yes, they do conspire. Not as individual creatures, but as a colony of causal entities. The squirrel presence is coupled with the presence of trees. The squirrels and the trees are in league with each other. There is a great deal of communication on this level, but humans listen poorly if at all. That doesn’t mean that the presences that compose our world aren’t shaping events much like we do.

Is the relationship parasitic or symbiotic? Mostly it’s symbiotic. The potential is for universal symbiosis, and humanity has the potential to be the apex symbiont rather than the apex parasite it is now.

We have our capacity to conceive of our limits as a tool of empathy. Your dog has only a limited ability to understand what it is not. The dog is an observer the same as you are, but its niche consists of the role reality needs dogs to occupy. The same applies to most other forms of life we share this planet with.

Humanity exists for its capacity to synthesize awareness, to consider the dogs needs and the birds needs and the fishes needs, and the needs of life beyond those of individual species as well. Humanity has the potential to intelligently guide evolution. Humanity has been performing this function, but with only half their faculties, and what is evolution if guided by half wits? How many species can survive without the toxic system humanity has engineered for itself? Dogs? No. Cats? No. Chickens? No. Cows? No. This is not a humanity bashing session. I hate it when it begins to sound like that. I mean only to offer something by way of explanation. Humans like the idea of being flawed.

I think we just need to be aware the humans are flawed and that’s ok to be. It’s okay for humans to be what they are, like its okay for toddler not to be potty trained for a while.

I heard a lady say yesterday that imperfection is not the same as inadequate. That you can be not perfect but still enough. That’s a good saying, and it’s true. We just have to get clear on what limitations are. They are not walls. They are skin. Events are not our restrictions, they are our tools, our hands.

Does your reality give you room to breath? Humanity has developed what seems like an obsessive lust for a life of thrills that is comparable to the practice of auto-erotic asphyxiation. There is a potential for a much greater intimacy than this self stimulatory conception of reality, but you have to loosen the scarf and take the blindfold off your eyes as well. Part of recovery from a crippling condition is trusting that the injured leg still works, that the injured arm can still do work.
