Molecules are subject to quantum influences. The warm wet breakdown theory is proving more and more to be untrue. Quantum effects occur in biological systems quite commonly. In the leaf of a plant, the eye of a bird, and in us as well. So each of these dynamically circulating proteins serves as an information medium for other processes. Well, I am getting a bit ahead of myself…

They have discovered something perhaps very strange at least according to previous mainstream thinking. Your genes don’t actually shape your synaptic structure or dendritic development, your mitochondria do.

It’s silly but I think of the mood slime from the ghostbusters movie. Stuff that reacts to emotions.

Yes, different functions at different levels.

From one point of view your mitochondrial genetics are not your personal genetics, they are foreign. So as keen as some were and still are on the notion that consciousness could be understood by mapping what they call the connectome, the network of synapses in a person’s brain, this would likely not reveal anything about their fundamental biology.

So, the brain’s functions are more like “fields” or “plasma” than like telephone wires….? Indeed. They have also found that there are two signaling states. Two states that give structure to information exchange between neurons. The obvious electrical potentiation leading to electrical spikes, but there is also the general electrical state which shifts and adjusts according to incoming chemical information and magnetic flux in cells around it. This itself is very close to the quantum level and this is just synaptic processing. They have confirmed that you can inherit things like emotional tendencies from the mother, which is also the only place any of us get our mitochondria from. All mitochondria are from the ova, never from the sperm, which means those synapses had their information seeded at that point, and the information encoded was subject to change at least up to the point of fertilization. Though there is some evidence that emotional tendencies are inherited from the father as well, it would be just the synaptic pattern inherited from the mother exclusively.

Scientists have discovered a way for us to have 3 parents, by inserting the mitochondria from a 3rd person. Indeed, that egg will still germinate and mature, as far as we know more or less entirely normally.

So, the protein signaling from both parents plays a role in  maturation, and later is processed as a part of your normal cognitive development, shaping your formative years. This isn’t actually quantum phenomena so far, just normal signal transduction.

Every molecule is subject to quantum influence. It’s what leads one molecule to bond specifically with another and in a specific way. It’s the collapse of a superposition. The molecule could flip different ways, but ultimately only orients one way, so the information processing is actually riding on the molecules and isn’t contained in them.

But it also sounds pretty mechanical.

What causes the collapse of a superposition is stress, pressure, gravity, temporal / spatial curvature. What drives your search for understanding is understanding the structural language of information itself. You are the consciousness not for matter and energy, but of time and space, and actually something beyond that.

Tesla’s theories is that energy has no existence independent of space, and even though mainstream science does not accept this (as it would throw much of their particle physics theories for a loop), they still use it in a roundabout way. Their math requires the inclusion of something called virtual particles, things not detected but that have to be included in order for the observations of actual matter and energy to make sense. This is why they have the theory of dark matter also. Your consciousness is more represented by this force than it is by the matter and energy of your body. Your body and brain behavior doesn’t even make sense without it. It’s existence doesn’t make sense without it.

So as promised… What drives your search for understanding is a pattern of stress, gravity, a physical singularity, not unlike a black hole perhaps.

Does the ego come from stress? Actually, the ego comes from absorbed energy, but it takes on the forms it does from falling into orbit around that locus of time space, and actually more than time space. There are more dimensions to your being than just time and space. We mistake the product for the producer, the planet for the sun it formed around, and by doing so we cut off the necessary energy that planet needs to grow and thrive.

Yes, it feels more purposeful than that.

You are not restricted to the constraints of your brain, and if you try to preserve those limitations, continuously do everything you can to make your brain feel stable, your biology feel comfortable, you will cause that very same brain to break down. The more rational you try to be, the more concrete, the more error enters into your information flow. The more sections of your innate data set you exclude, the greater deviation of your temporal spatial vector, until you spin off into a great gravitic sargasso. A relative information dead zone.

Maybe that’s why I started feeling overwhelmed even when I’m doing things I love, forcing the task just makes it worse.

I ponder various forms of Fundamentalism… Do tell? I hear that neurobiology is closing in on the “fundamentalist brain.” It is neurologically different from the “normal” brain.

Just as the dead seas on our planet are not literally without life, those regions of the multiverse that bog us down are also inhabited, but by the things that are very far from being symbiotic to us.

Not symbiotic is one form of “foreign,” then? Yes, alien, and their influence has been a disease on our world though it doesn’t manifest in the way most conventionally think of it. It’s more akin to encounters in psychedelic experience, but without the attenuation supported by a native agent. Magic mushrooms are much more friendly than the potential consequences of rational thought. Memetic priming has been responsible for quite a few questionable scientific discoveries, a lot of them involved in nuclear science.
