Impact Of Human Behaviour

Notice how many disasters are cropping up so far? Our personal consciousness tends to swing between inspiration and apathy, aspiration and despair.

Earthquakes, flooding and tornados. I almost think the earth is trying to even out the human population. It isn’t trying to do that directly, but we will go into that.

The behaviour of any part of a system affects the whole system. So, just as we swing between apathy, indolence, greed… and inspiration, wisdom, and humanitarian efforts… the whole world itself shifts. The open hearted attitude that is ideally behind the green movement, can lead to changes in the environment in the long term. Even things as elemental as the presence of some minerals on our planet itself owes it’s existence to the cumulative impact of human behaviour. We have written our history in the rocks. We and the other life forms on this planet as well. Our plants extract and combine minerals in ways that would never happen entirely on their own, so do we, but this also happens in all the other realms of matter. What we consider the classical elements.

It seems like the earth is a pet we need to take care of. Can we over feed the earth as much as let it starve to death? Interesting observation, so let’s go deeper down the rabbit hole.

Many scientists are big supporters of the idea that we are products of physical processes, and that everything about humanity can be explained by the physical sciences. This means that our consciousness is the consciousness of the planet, and takes the form it has now because of the materials it’s drawn from, the planet itself. Again, you are what you eat, and we are ultimately eating dirt which is star dust.

So in a sense, the human drama is just a dynamic, that was in the chemical make-up of the planet, playing itself out naturally. Nature just taking it’s course. But we don’t see it that way do we?

Human drama like war and protesting? Yes. War and protesting are just the wine going sour.

We are the planet dreaming? Yes. Exactly.

We don’t see “us” in it. It’s true. We don’t see ourselves in the process. There is a reason for that.

So when we are at peace, the earth is happily drunk? Exactly. That’s why they say the earth sleeps. It’s a drunken dream like state, and many ancient schools of mysticism speak of the ambrosia of the Gods.

But we are never at peace. We are never totally at peace. This is true.

Is that why wine is used in a lot of religious rituals? That is why. It was considered a spirit and vessel of life.

Your thoughts are welcome. Be well friends.
