How do you feel the heart?
When you are in your community, the events around you happen all of themselves. Everyone sees everyone else. Everyone is aware to some degree of everything that is going on in their environment. You don’t have to choose this.
You can embrace this rather than try to shut it out. The air in your very lungs in invasive. This energy in your environment is life supporting also. In fact, if you look at your thoughts and your life experiences, your beliefs, where did they come from?
They have nothing to do with choice. You don’t have to choose to have thoughts. Your brain does that on its own. If you’re awake, you are noticing things, which makes you remember things, which makes you have feelings, then you make choices. Forgiveness is a choice. It’s the ultimate reset of your ability to make choices. If problems are real, then you can’t make choices, everything will just break again. But if you embrace the wholeness of your own being, and the world itself, then you need “correct” nothing, and thus you need forgive nothing, nor do you need to be forgiven.
Forgiveness might be the only choice we have? It’s the first choice. When you allow for what seems like error, that’s when you are actually practicing clear attention. When you allow for contradiction in the world.
I know some who would see forgiveness as a controlling thing. Saying I will never forgive you unless you do this for me, or it is a something to be earned. They do try that ploy, but it only shackles you if you choose for it to and if you place their thinking above your own. But if you do, then they have to do all the thinking for you, and can that allow you to be happy, healthy, or whole?
And that is just what the controlling person wants. They want it, but they can’t do it. Nobody is effective at controlling anyone else. They can’t even effectively control themselves or their lives would be error free. Anyone fit that bill?
It’s maybe why they get so angry when they feel out of control. They get angry, because they feel ashamed. They are not more intelligent or wise than you, they are less so. This is why they seek to try to force the unenforceable. If you saw someone banging their head on a wall until it was bloody and then keep banging, they would seem a lunatic, yes?
Or terribly misguided about the solidity of bricks. Yes. It could be they have a different perception of our dimension, but if so they still have things to learn.
This reminds me of people who never forgive. They keep repeating that story. They do, yes. The victim is the ultimate tyrant.
I’m often amazed at the detail people can remember about a past event that they can’t forgive, and sometimes it’s really trivial. Sometimes it’s something I was around for and I can’t remember a thing about it. If they had the sensitivity they claim to have, they would have sensed the need and opportunity to move on. The victim is never a peaceful person.
Your thoughts are welcome. Be well friends.
