Hubris

My liver is so proud, he thinks he is better than my heart. Actually, the body can know hubris.  It’s called cancer. When a new cell is too deviated, when it’s not acknowledging that it’s in the liver, and won’t in any way do the liver thing, then it’s hubris. Cancer cells are still of the body, and is why cancer can survive and spread. It’s the imbalance that lets your body throw off cancer.

We all have hubris, but on a gut level many of us still see that “there but for the grace of God go I”, and that we should not ask for whom the bell tolls. We’re going to be there too. It’s for those who see themselves as the one and only, above all others, who feel they can sit and judge. That is hubris.

Was it hubris to say, “I am the Light, the Truth and the Way?” If they meant only them, but in fact the same man who said that also said, “Have I not said, thou art gods?” It’s like declaring you are human. Yes, I’m human. Is this a contrast? Is it a meaningful thing to say? It can be in the right context, but arbitrarily it’s nothing more than commenting on the weather. What is is, and very likely will change.

It still goes back to intent, doesn’t it? It’s all about intent. I can say what you think I am I am not, and am very likely right.

We are all God perhaps, and in being, we are part of the most beautiful unconditional love. God is love. We can love. Loving as a child isn’t conditional. It isn’t limited. Need to ground and center? The child knows God better than you do.

Yes, and he shits his pants. Exactly, so, be happy being you. When you are really you, you are you on purpose. Be on purpose, be ok with it. Gods word is man’s word, but some men’s words are humanities words, and some speak from a shared spirit.

Your thoughts are welcome. Be well friends.
