Image of God

Why is science now a religion? And why is psychology the “rational” definition of soul? In many peoples minds, if I say “I believe I am the image of God”, people will call me crazy. But if I accept the psychological terms and describe myself that way, then that is ok. The erroneous notion of idolatry. Yet people still do it, vehemently.

Image worship. It’s supposedly to have a “concrete” idea of something, a defined or definable image, but does anyone’s life really support the absolute value of that? My God is better than your God…and if their God were superior then wouldn’t knowing that God be sufficient for their support? Even the great God Dinero seems to fall horribly flat in that area. I find this amusing.

It is okay if we are made in the image of “God”, we just have to stop trying to make him in our image. And every evidence of the first cause, the driving principle of life and the universe, is that it is dynamic not static. Living, not an idol. A picture of me as a child is not a picture of me now. Not literally. Might not even notice the connection.

When we look at our minds, not all of this, but the popular mindset, we say, “This is how the mind is and how it works.” But the mind seems very broad. People are routinely shocked so how can we say “This is all the mind is”?

Your thoughts are welcome. Be well friends.
