First, let’s look at the current state of socially inspired divine madness. Then we can explore what others are like, shall we?
Remember I said that the madness is shaped by an inspiring spirit? Well, take humanity as a collective, I mean modern humanity, and then lead the oracle through all their states of being. What might that person wind up behaving like? Especially if they can’t manage to return to themselves?
Multiple personalities? No. The reason I say that is how strong are most peoples personalities? How well developed?
Shallow. They are fairly homogeneous. I’d say most people are moulded rather than developed these days, trying to fit everyone with the same old cookie cutter. But they would come back with a big ball of emotion on their spiritual shoulders. What would those emotions be?
You mean a god complex? Possibly. It’s fairly common. Some people have very passionate attitudes about what and who they think god is and so would the oracle.
Anxiety, love, anger? Anxiety, lust and anger. If it were love, they would be more peaceful and perhaps not get lost as many psychotics do.
Now these emotions tend to motivate people to bend their perception of their world and their life experience. These emotionally inspired attitudes would manifest as a big ball of delusions to go with all the intense emotion. Wind up having thoughts on everything, but no ability for any of them to be very clear. Does this description not really sum up psychosis in general?
Having thoughts but no way to express them is psychosis? Having thoughts but no way to understand them is psychosis. Words are not sanity nor are they any danger to sanity. They can’t clarify their feelings and thus can’t understand what they should do in the world.
What would happen in the same situation if all human society was sane and spiritually advanced? What would that oracle look like?
Peaceful and enlightened? Full of composure and equanimity? And we have had them. They tend to arise in cultures that have strong roots in a more primal relationship to the earth. Those who are mostly trying to survive and even thrive rather than burning away their emotional strength trying to deal with the abstractions we do in most of today’s world.
I’ve felt that enlightenment in people that just happen to sit beside me on the train. Ah, it can happen, and it can happen by degrees as well. Someone can learn to slip “just a little bit” so they can keep functioning, but not feeling as bound up as other people do.
I feel it in a lot of Native people. Usually, they are the older folks that have found no reason to be anything but enlightened even while others are complaining about the crowded train. Yes. One of the gifts of nature that we can come to enjoy despite ourselves, even though most of our effort was spent avoiding it.
Your thoughts are welcome. Be well friends.
