Substance Of Life

Dead spots are not evil, but people do find them scary. We actually need them.

Dead spots arise as a natural consequence of all the energy around us. They are realities dark side or shadow. They pop up whenever the flow of an energy is suddenly stopped. It doesn’t matter if this energy is thought, or time, or breath, and they define and preserve the apparent world. They are the reason why things don’t all go up in a ball of fire, or why all hearts don’t stop in one single moment.

Our world isn’t whole, it’s fractured like melting ice, and the substance of everything we think of as life doesn’t have it’s source in the light and energy we see. The substance is in the dead spots. There is no life as substance. There is only life as activity.

We fear the loss of our sanity in the dead spot, because the dead spot is a rest in the sound of the mind. For a period of time, no matter how brief, things stop making sense.

You need zeros Gs to get that great feeling from a roller coaster. Exactly, and it is not really strange to find life’s value in death. If anything, it’s really the only way we can see it clearly, but we run from the little deaths in our lives. In the case of some people, more stereotypically females, we run from the little death that allows the advent of a new life.

Is there not a word that means Little Death? Well, orgasm works. In fact, neurological studies show that the brain doesn’t really make the distinction between orgasm and agony. But the nerves do? They do not. It’s how the agony is received, the language of it, that makes us perceive it as different from death.

You make a distinction between what feels nice and what is too stimulating to be bearable. Yes, and in fact, silence is an overwhelming sound to the point that sensory deprivation can lead to over stimulation bordering on a psychotic break, and we hear the silence of dead spots. On an instinctive level we know what it means.

Silence is palpable. The best way to get someone to talk is to just sit and stare at them. They have a need to fill the void. That’s true. It’s even perhaps the primary tool used in even extreme interrogation. That and enforced social isolation.

Is that why we often laugh when we try and do a staring contest? Yes. The laugh is a simple gut level expression of panic.

Your thoughts are welcome. Be well friends.
