Kabbalah is the “ways of God.” Being able to look at yourself and see the divine. As well as see the divine in others. Whatever you do unto these, the least of my brothers that you do to me also.
Is it your spirit that calls you on the path? It is your spirit, because your spirit and the holy spirit are one. As I made mention of earlier, Kabbalists don’t say that you have one soul, they say you have a few. The spirit that comes to you as the comforter is your intended spirit, your intended spiritual state. Modern Hermeticism calls this the knowledge and communion of the holy guardian angel.
The different spirits fight within you for dominance? No. They don’t fight, you fight. Your animal soul resists as it seeks only enjoyment of material things. The spirit coaxes that inner animal into seeking higher things.
Are the spheres related to the chakras? They mirror the chakras, and move a bit beyond as well, and in some schools of Kabbalism they say that the tree repeats itself at a higher level. Sort of the many worlds theory, but in God rather than matter.
Don’t you imagine that spiritual evolution is infinite? Ultimately, as is God as well. The Kabbalist isn’t so much looking for one end state of communion with God, but rather they are training themselves so they may see God and know God at all times and in all places. They just see that the levels of this perception occur in stages.
All the emanations of God. Yes. This is why Mother Teresa was sainted. Among some other things, the insights she shared, and lived her life according to, reflected these principles. Seeing Jesus in all people and committing herself to the service of Jesus in the spirit of love.
Seeing love in all there is? That being the ultimate motivation that God had for expressing itself, and well, God only appears to us to have conflicted motives. Kabbalah reminds us those aren’t God’s, those are ours.
The motives only seem conflicted when we try to explain them with human logic. Exactly. Infinite logic is inconceivable to the human mind.
No point in asking why. Good point. In fact, the question behind Kabbalism is, “Why not?” This is why the categories they work with.
Your thoughts are welcome. Be well friends.
