Ego applies to a sort of secretary or organizer of our energies for higher states of mind. I’m not of the mind that ego is worthless, but it has to be seen for the limited thing it is. Doubt and fear are addictive in nature with respect to the ego. Triggers adrenaline. Doubt triggers fear.
Wisdom is at the heart of your awareness, at the heart of your very essential being. Mostly we don’t grow in wisdom, we lose and recover it. But in fact a defiant heart is not a listening heart.
We can see challenge anywhere. In the end when you see challenge everywhere there is truth nowhere.
“There are two ways to slide easily through life: to believe everything or to doubt everything. Both ways save us from thinking.” Alfred Korzybski
Lately, I have been dealing with the affects of doubt in my life. So the topic today is the impact on doubt in the process of meditation. Doubt is a very common process. We are brought up to engage in the style of thinking that encourages doubt, and honestly, doubt isn’t completely worthless. But to the degree that we doubt, we block our ability to manifest. My ability with doubt is very strong. I compulsively weigh and evaluate everything, often to my detriment. While this does help me to avoid problems that other people seem to have more frequently than… Seek More
Science has now proved it to be a fact that distance doesn’t seem to matter for “like affects like.” Yet some people hesitate to link quantum mechanics and quantum entanglement with spirituality. They are both difficult subjects. All science was at one time linked with spirituality. The idea that we could look at the world as a machine served a purpose. The purpose was very narrow and it is time for us to drop it. We took it as far as it could go quite a while ago. What is spirituality but an understanding of ourselves and what moves us? Which… Seek More
Ego thinks ‘I do’ and that by virtue of ‘myself‘ I must do everything. Thought is not self. Thought is process and we are “created in gods image”. All powerful. Which means we have the power of ability to do all things. Good or bad. We get caught up in the same thing. Ego is doing the same thing we have always done. Do the same thing you always do and you will get the same thing you always got. The ego can only exist in repetition. In the supposition that something is self, and the supposition on our part… Seek More
Focus determines your reality. Your reality is more than what you see with your eyes. Can you recall a time when you really only had one thing on your mind? When you’re doing a task that you’re really absorbed in? Have you ever been in that state where you desired companionship and didn’t perceive yourself to have it? Ever hear yourself say you were lonely? Meaning you desired an intimate relationship? Well, didn’t everything start looking different? Even find yourself seeing things differently? More in that context? Really, your life becomes about finding that intimate connection. That searching can often keep… Seek More
Fear, fear, fear. Seems it is all fear. Of what use is fear? If you identify threat clearly then it is useful, but in my experience in more general things, it doesn’t do that. It helps the powers that be keep us compliant. Fear as doctrine. It is maybe why they want to give autistics electro convulsive therapy. Fear…storm …fear…economy… fear…money… fear…car crash. Fear of car crash causes car crash. Fear of failure causes failure. Fear of loss of money causes stasis, if not loss of money. In the long run, still causing loss of money. We should rank everything we… Seek More
Doubt is so subtle, and yet so very fully destructive. The subtlety makes it sneaky, and it doesn’t stay to one thing. It sits on your shoulder squawking, and the more it squawks the worse it builds. It can fowl even pleasant things. Then we can over react to the situation. But I actually think that over reaction should be to a degree permitted, because it pulls you out. However doubt seems safe, so we are denied even catharsis. Over reaction from doubt can lead to the wrong action, but if you’re damned if you do, and damned if you don’t, which… Seek More
Ego has everything to do with doubt. The world doesn’t truly give you bad choices. It gives you choices, and whether they are good or bad depends on your view. Where you are at. Doubt and ego are identical. Ego is an idea of self, inherently limiting, and doubt is the process of finding those limitations. Example: Are you a woman or man? It is literally fact, but are you in your head a woman or man? Why is that? What is it to be a woman or man? Is it what you feel? Is that idea of being a… Seek More
