Failure Event

We do need to consider risk for the same reason we need to demonstrate empathy, because in the end it’s not about who wins or loses, but how the game was played. You don’t kick the ball to a member of your team who wasn’t looking for it. You likewise shouldn’t try to throw your resources to an event that isn’t in contact with you yet.

I think suffering is not the same as taking a risk. Suffering when you have no strength to soothe it or none allows you to be soothed. Nature has actually gifted us all with relief from suffering. We all have easy access to it. It’s called failure.

Sometimes “throwing your resources” is an event. Yes, and it can be a positive event. It could be the thing that lets you break free of the habitual self.

I am not teaching fatalism here, but what if you fail? What if you lose? Why is that unacceptable? The failure event can be as much of an ally as the success event, often more so, and is often much more loyal.

There is a reason for this. There is no trying hard enough or trying too much. There is just the energy you expend in the chain of events you are moving through. The reason I say failure is a more loyal friend, as far as event entities go, is because it’s just our own prejudice that gives it that name. The failure entity is also called rest or restart.

Does the real self also continue to experience events? Oh, indeed it does. The real self is what the Greeks called the demi-urge. When the thread of events called our life comes to its conclusion, we take these experiences and introduce them into the basic structure of reality. The metaphysical instruction manual if that makes sense?

Our death updates the wiki of the universe? It does.

But not while we are alive? Actually, while we are alive also. But in fact, the life event and the death event have no actual separation. They are “happening at the same time.”

We like to make history books about ourselves. We make history books about all selves.

The samurai had an important insight. You are already dead, so why not appreciate life fully?

Does the real self perceive risk? The real self perceives noise. It doesn’t evaluate it as risk.

What does it see it as? Ah, resistance in a circuit, or perhaps more appropriately, disturbance of the mind.

A wrench in the works. Yes, simple confusion.

I know so many risks. You know too many risks, not enough events. That’s true of all of us.

Your thoughts are welcome. Be well friends.
