A New Dawn by Robert Gresak

The world and humanity is in turmoil and disarray. One does not need a crystal ball to see this. People are constantly on the move, nothing is static, the rivers of life appear to be fast gathering momentum towards some amazing and wondrous end. Stress and tension and the pressures of peoples work are also a constant factor. The major economies of the world fluctuate like a see-saw on a daily basis, as do the prices of everyday household commodities. It’s become almost impossible to budget anymore. On top of all this, we see all the filth and the evil of uncontrolled entities running rampant and hardly a day goes by without crime hitting us in the face from the media. It’s as if a vast suppurating boil has been lanced and all the putredness, all the malignancy of past ages is streaming forth, as if Mother Earth has had enough of mans depredations, his evil acts and his abuse of natural law.

The spectre of fear, fear for ones children, fear of losing ones job or ones investments, fear for the future, fear of old age, and fear in so many other guises, raises and constantly raises its multifaceted grim outlook. Fear truly stands poised over men’s heads like a sword of Damocles and of course it is men and women themselves who give it the power, give it the ascendency over their lives. Granted, it’s not easy to dispel this monster, particularly I think where ones children or spouse is concerned. Nevertheless, it’s vital to begin making the effort to overcome it.

The ogre of fear has hooked itself into mans psyche over aeons of time and remains so. It’s a real paradox as on the one hand it raises itself in warning when one is about to perhaps embark on something really dangerous to ones wellbeing, and on the other hand it can prevent us from going forward into something which can only but be beneficial whether that be on a physical or deeper level. One needs to be fully aware and if beneficence faces us, then we need to grasp that aspect with open arms. A new light is appearing, the winds of some vast change for the better is blowing strongly throughout life, a change which will not be denied.

As F.C.Happold wrote:

“A wind has blown across the world
and tremors shake its frame,
new things are struggling to their birth
and nought shall be the same.
The Earth is weary of its past
of folly, hate and fear.
Beyond the dark and stormy sky
the dawn of God is near.”
