Connection and Pattern

Is karma just incidental? No. It is a principle of interconnectivity, not unlike gravity in space. Our spirits have a gravity, and it can attract good things like the light of the sun, or bad things like comets. Our spirit or energy isn’t a constant. It can’t really be. We are organic creatures and sort of changeable compared to other things, but we can observe a pattern to our lives and we can make decisions based on this pattern.

There is an old saying, nothing is either good or bad but thinking makes it so. There have been plenty of examples of that in peoples lives. The first owner of Macy’s had his store and everything in it burn to the ground when he got it started. People asked if he would give up. He simply refused. Just said he’d rebuild. He and his descendants are now filthy rich. Though the destruction of his store was bad, he controlled the impact it had on him. For him the fire didn’t really matter, he didn’t let it matter. In your life things will happen, cause and effect, and you will be both cause and impacted by effects. You will tend to be impacted by effects that are in harmony with your state, though it may seem strange as to how.

They say you rise and fall according to the level of the company you keep, and it works the other way also. If you meet a new person who seems to be a very positive influence, they can raise your level if you don’t work against it. And people often do, subconsciously if not on purpose. That is a karmic affect also.

Karma is like weight, impact. It’s said that with power comes greater consequence. The karma of one can affect many. Karma is responsibility. The Kahunas called this mana. In Kahuna culture they speak of mana about everything. The word mana roughly equates to the power of proven effectiveness, and they recognized that it related to more than muscles, or looks, or money. They believed if your mana was bad you wouldn’t be able to keep money if you got it, because your spirit or connection to money is the factor. Karma isn’t something from another life, or even just ‘I did something bad so now I suffer‘. It’s about connection. Good, bad or indifferent.

Your thoughts are welcome. Be well friends.
