In Gnostic Christianity they speak of resurrection in the Gnostic sense, of being truly reborn into life. They see a life without knowledge of spirit as being among the dead, under the governance of Samael lord of the blind. a.k.a Shaitan to the Yazidi people. The demi-urge, who took governance of this world after the creator rested and who claimed that one should have no god above them, was not to worry. No one does.
No good deed goes unpunished and my own efforts are unpopular. Any who see deeply are shunned. See beyond the surface and dare to share that with anyone and you become a “demon”. The prophets were prophets before they entered the good graces of Christendom. John the Baptist was outcast and not of the rabbinical cast for a reason. The three wise men where magi. Christendom would go on to depose the magis leadership of the Persian people and yet also adopt the manichean heresy that Samael is equal but opposite to the creator. They found that useful for creating an enemy. To make people fear and obey the holy roman church. Heresy becomes orthodoxy in time. Our group members in Second Life bear the title heretic. But in fact the only heresy I endorse is heresy against that cycle. Seeking from your own experience first, last and always.
Everything occurs on a stage of spirit incarnated or not and there isn’t just one way of existing. There isn’t even just one way of incarnating. The shamanic traditions acknowledged this when they chose their shamans. The Greeks did it when they chose their oracles. Even the Christians did it when they pressed their prophets into service. You may find Emanuel Swedenborg an interesting read (Heaven and its Wonders and Hell (Dodo Press)). He had some interesting things to say about the faith, the spiritual plane and Gnosticism. He wasn’t even really a Gnostic himself and neither was Nostradamus. Both were rather devout Christians and the older prophets were absolutely no different.
Are enough people paying attention? I was bemoaning that last night. It is a bit humiliating. I really do understand that Taoist story of the master by the river, alas I sell water all day by the river and my efforts are totally without merit. But do we really need merit? I know I will continue with my work, even if it’s only to meditate on it because no one cares to hear. I’ve spent plenty of time doing that.
Your thoughts are welcome. Be well friends.
