With purpose being in ourselves, why do people keep looking “beyond” for purpose? They aren’t looking beyond for purpose. They all, at least subconsciously, know this won’t work. They are looking beyond for permission. It’s better to make a mistake and correct it than ask permission.
Let’s look at the “invisible” side of purpose, unspoken purpose, and then I think we can bring it into the light. People have a very strange and pointlessly destructive belief. We all know of it, and likely subscribe to it to some degree. The belief is in accidents. Anyone believe in accidents? And if so why?
No. All cause and effect, really. It just irritates me when I hear the word in the news. Then you share my irritation.
Now, let’s throw out money, jobs, “success” as it’s publicly defined. These are bull. We fall into them from expediency and there is little or no truth in it. But we all have a role we fall into that we don’t choose. Even if we don’t like it, we are it. It’s just our nature, and other people know it even if they won’t help us or won’t openly appreciate it, still it’s our role, like the “fight finisher”, or the “heart breaker”.
We all know the person who will make us cry and nobody likes it, but they still seek them out. What are you sought out for? Or even if you are not sought, what gravitates to you? You don’t have to do a thing. It just forms a core in your life, and you find you just keep doing it, and well… You’re good at it. Can’t help it. Can you think of something like that that applies to you?
I’m good at fixing things.
People come to me to tell me their problem.
The only thing that comes to mind is wandering and wanting to see how everything works, but no one looks to me for that. And people know you know things. They might not look to you for it, because you have sent a message that you aren’t willing. People don’t want to be bitten. Maybe I’ve just been in the collection phase. Which you would know, because you know how your purpose works, though you may have not deliberately thought about it. There will be more when you move to that, and it’s that way for others also. But knowing when not to say is also part of your purpose.
My purpose runs dark, and I can help people find their way out of the shadows. But sometimes, I actually just have to let people suffer. I can tell that they aren’t ready to keep to the light. They aren’t ready for healing or peace. When you recognize this, then you can maybe have what is a first in your experience, a sense of genuine rather than incidental kinship. A genuine sense of place, and from that you can map your life with clarity where before you wandered. Everyone has a home. Purpose is home, and though our homes may differ, even seem to be opposed, we can with a loving attention make our homes beside each other. Make a nice little village where all of our needs are met.
The African saying has been taken out of context, but it really does take a village. The dark one can live right alongside a “church” of the light. They don’t want to hurt anyone any more than the next person. They might even want to help. I have told people to seek a return to their belief before. Seek a return to their authentic self. Usually they were just being pointlessly morbid which serves no one and actually is a sort of theft. When you try to take someone else’s purpose, which you will certainly fail to do, you rob the world of your own.
Your thoughts are welcome. Be well friends.
