A vampire is like a spirit who has possessed their own body? Exactly. This is perhaps an explanation of psychic vampires. They often have had near death experiences (NDE), and in general are able to feed more easily when you are in a state where your blood is pumping hard. This is why they often seem more than willing to anger people. It is sort of instinctive.

They feed off your psychic energy? Yes, though not all do. Some who return from an NDE seem to connect to a different source than the life force. Those who don’t return to the blood, return to the light, but they are all returners. You return to the blood or you return to the light, or you don’t return at all.

Return from death? Yes.

Blood is the elemental life. The light is the spiritual ordering force. Those who return by the light tend to have an unearthly feel about them and often don’t survive long after their near death experience. They often display prophetic or spiritual tendencies. Those who return to the blood often become more passionate, develop cravings for life experience, even get a bit temperamental.

Lustful. Yes, they become lustful. Our wars produce a lot of those who return to the blood. This was the cause of the otherwise “mindless” baby boom era.

Does that cover all near death experiences? Are they all returners to blood? Oh, no. Some are guided by the light, usually seen as an angelic figure, but most don’t come into contact with the angelic guide.
