In stillness, I can have a thought for a moment then choose to have a different thought. Then choose to act on a thought if I like one of them. Can I do this by thinking?
In thinking, it seems to take on a life of it’s own and we’re a dog chasing our tail. It becomes a habit, yes. Your body tries to maintain stillness however it can manage. To try to achieve stillness, it will do whatever you let it do.
I largely come to my class unprepared in any way, but emotionally calm. And those are your best classes, no? Yes. The way I usually do it these days. I just grow calm, and know I know.
This explains how you never prepare for classes? I have the memories of everything I have ever read, everything I have ever thought, everything I have ever experienced, and some things I am not so sure are even mine. But I can have them all, and choose from among them all to share. I prefer to focus on a topic as it makes sorting easier.
So the answer to your bottomless mind is stillness? Yes. Even if magick is complete nonsense and there really is no such thing as God, stillness as the precondition of all reality is empowering. The sense in it can reveal depth undreamed of even in today’s era of science and reason. To the degree that any way becomes an object, it ceases to have any truth. Because truth is life and life truth, and we live still in still moments.
What if your higher power turns out to be you? If your higher power is you, you are still. You are still here. You still feel. There is still existence. So it must be a genuine higher power, is this not so?
Life happens while you are thinking about other things. Your flesh and blood exist while you are trying to be other things, but you can have more than that.
If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans? Amusing notion, but you aren’t being laughed at. What actually happens is you are shown how you can achieve that, but you are too busy planning. Stillness is like having the ultimate friend in a high place. He can and will pull any string possible, but you have to be listening and choose what you really want to say, think, and act on. It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.
Friends, I would like to introduce you to your real self. They say first impressions are the most true. What’s your impression friends?
Where is she? Where are you? I don’t see you through all the peace.
Your thoughts are welcome. Be well friends.
