Spirituality for Living

Does anyone have a strong belief that seems contradicted by life? Say, you believe in the law of attraction. Really invested in the idea of the law of attraction, but you perceive that it doesn’t seem to work?

I’m not so sure that life contradicts what I believe, rather than most people’s perceptions – the ‘common’ view – contradicts what I believe. That is my experience and it is evidenced in everything from the lack of voter activity in the states here, to tensions between world nations. This is failure of the common view.

We have exceeded the spirit of our ancestors, yet have little guidance in creating a new view due to the dominance of scientism. Mechanics of science are sort of defeating itself. They are discovering that the mechanics they rely on aren’t quite so mechanical.

Belief has spurred every invention, every scientific exploration, every very factual historical event. So, why is belief mocked today? Is this world today tripping on its own enlightenment? Is it even enlightened at all, or just well trained in stupid mechanic tricks? Much of the failure of medicine these days has been discovered not to be in the science, but in the attitude, in the belief.

Science is so marginalized these days, it bends its knee to commerce. It is not actual problem solving so even the most widely accepted belief is held in question as inevitably it would be. It is not the problems science attempts to solve today, it is the questions that will pay off. Where is the money, not where is the issue.

New physics is being discovered and is being discovered by those who are not authorities. Who won’t defer to the scientific establishment. Einstein wasn’t an acknowledged scientist during his most scientifically active period and his work changed our world.

Intuition is seen as insanity and the intuitive are medicated. When we approach things in the natural way it will be possible. Science puts the cart before the horse as has been proven many times over. Perhaps the scientific rebellion against orthodoxy was necessary, but is outmoded now?
