So to return, what is the difference between your ideas and your experience of events?
Events are more material? Phase.
Phase, verb, phased, phas•ing.
noun
1. any of the major appearances or aspects in which a thing of varying modes or conditions manifests itself to the eye or mind.
2. a stage in a process of change or development: Each phase of life brings its own joys.
3. a side, aspect, or point of view: This is only one phase of the question.
4. a state of synchronous operation: to put two mechanisms in phase.
Astronomy,
a. the particular appearance presented by the moon or a planet at a given time.
b. one of the recurring appearances or states of the moon or a planet in respect to the form, or the absence, of its illuminated disk: the phases of the moon.
I think in both cases you can choose to react to them as you wish, to mold them to your purposes. If we can mold ideas to our intentions, then why do we ever fail to control our behavior?
We are human. What is that? Fallible. Why does error define humanity?
Entropy? I think in this case it arises as a side effect from the dominant style of thinking these days. Perception is in error so people say to err is human. We make a lot of assertions that to my thinking just don’t hold true.
If we think differently, we wouldn’t make mistakes? If we think differently, the concept of mistakes would cease being necessary or relevant.
Be more easy going? In a sense. Not so precise? We think of ourselves as separate from events, separate from work. We think that events are things we can choose to connect with or not. I don’t think this is true. The events around you are at least in part as fundamental to your being as your flesh and bone are.
Does proximity matter? Proximity doesn’t matter, because space as we conceive of it is an illusion, but relativity matters.
So something happening in the Andromeda galaxy affects us? It can yes, not likely, not in any meaningful way, but yes it can.
Your thoughts are welcome. Be well friends.
