Without having the traditional notion of a deity or god (that the more traditional definition of miracle uses), is there a causative agent of a miracle? I would say always, because everything is coincidence. Everything coincides and follows a metaphor. Every aspect of human thought follows metaphor and one triggers another by association. Events create other events by virtue of what the current event is not.
There is a concept called an isomorphic algorithm. Basically, whenever you take up any resource by action on it, performing any action at all, you create a condition around the activity you didn’t choose to do at that time. We connect all of our concepts to physical structures or physical sensations. For me, these fluctuate.
We are walking and talking poems. Yes, but there is an unspoken poem, an unwritten poem.
Oh, yes, un words. I can feel it in old Hawaiian chants, and we were taught to listen to the spaces between the sounds too.
In my experience, these non-events are what lead up to the statistically unlikely events, but they are linked to the activities and thoughts and feelings of people and presences.
Miracles arise from the spaces between? Exactly.
So because a set of people have chosen to eat at the MacDonald’s at a given hour, that collection of people are not in their customary locations, and a whole set of possible events are ruled out. But it doesn’t stop there, because that set of people were eating at McDonalds at that time, a whole set of choices were altered for other people who would have behaved differently had that person been present.
Now the important thing to remember is not that there is just a complex web of cause and effect. That is not the source of miracles. All these echoing activities impact each other, build up a force, and this force (sort of like a drums rhythm or a heartbeat) goes on to affect people’s further behavior. Sort of like a collective karma, and often times it shows a wisdom that the individuals involved don’t personally possess.
Hence it seems divine? Well, I guess you can’t talk about miracles without talking about god or whatever passes for god for you personally.
If we put those people in a place to pray together for a miracle and it happens? Yes. That will build the force up for further miracles to happen.
Your thoughts are welcome. Be well friends.
