The first discipline of language magic is listening, and at first you will be listening to yourself. This is necessary. As you listen to yourself, you will see the pattern and how it impacts the world. At this point, you can begin to make choices, but you can’t stop there. That’s just meditation, though that’s not bad in and of itself. As you continue to listen, you will hear on the same level as you hear your own thoughts, things that are not thought. They have nothing to do with your energies directly. Insights, perceptions, those “eureka!” moments, those aren’t your thinking. They are a seeing.
You create spaces in meditation for the world to enter, and then as you listen further you will hear a dialogue that before you weren’t aware of, but you are talking to these other things. Not only will you learn from them, the rock, and tree, and animal, as well as things beyond, but you will change the message you send to them, and the message you receive will change. It’s really a pretty reasonable world, at least outside of the human milieu.
This is the secret of the “wizards”, which in its native tongue meant keepers of the word/mysteries. They were the word masters, and they would sing. The world responded to their words for a reason. They had agreement, and agreement is powerful. In the books by Carlos Castaneda
The world is fine with our strength as long as we give it place? Exactly. It doesn’t want us dead or we would never have survived. It wants us listening, because yes, we are it. It is us. We are whole. The meek will inherit the earth. The meek are the listeners, and what are children to start but listeners?
Why can‘t we all just get along? We can’t all get along, because people think there is such a thing as stuff. They don’t like being called stuff. The Native Americans rightly thought we were crazy with that notion. The Native Americans weren’t crazy. They were in a sense youthful, but even the druids intuited that way in the world. Tír na nÓg , the world of the young, was seen as a paradise and was seen as a power that influenced even them. In Christianity, it was called the garden of Eden. In Judaism, it’s the orchard. There have been many references to this place. It is our stabs at remembering a state we could have had. We can still have, if we get out of this mess.
Your thoughts are welcome. Be well friends.
