Hope in this day and age seems a much maligned feeling. Yet we deal with levels of mental illness that have never been known before. Stress related illnesses are our biggest killers, and yet we are admonished to be realistic, be rational.  How realistic is it to say that we should be rational first and foremost? It seems a socially perpetuated falsehood at best. We are feeling people. We even engage in intoxicants and get on prescription meds because we are told to be realistic, to control our feelings, to accept life as it is because it’s the only way we will be happy. I honestly don’t know very many happy people, and those who are happy aren’t as happy as they could be. Hope is our very spirit itself. They say hope springs eternal. It does. It’s the part of us, perhaps the only part, that really endures [...] Continue to Seek…

Hope Manifests

Hope manifests. In my actions if in no other way, and my actions have a meaning for any who would witness. It may not be the meaning I want, but they generate an impact. The spirit of the action gets through even if they aren’t conscious of it.

I have gone through my life like this. People speak of life changing events, of a life of misery turning around, of a failure becoming a success. I don’t see that happening for anything I do, but I will still do it. I never did stop. My nickname with my brother is Rabi because I taught even then.

‘Focus determines your reality’. Focus on your problems = keep your problems. Focus on hopes and desires, then ultimately you over time get them and don’t think in sense of time. The subconscious itself neither understands time nor is receptive to it. If you say [...] Continue to Seek…

Hope Guides

Find what you want. Then acting on that what would you do? Then do that.

Do you wonder what else you should do? Wondering like that is doubt. Doubt is the opposite of hope. Hope guides, doubt bars the way. Look at it from a ‘what can I do right now’ point of view, even if it’s only one thing. This is necessary. People feel like they should abandon hope, but hope is the spirit itself. It is like saying you should slash your wrists.

This dynamic, it is subtle and not subtle, a fine balance but obvious but not. It is a Tao. Tao is hope really. They are the same thing. Lately I have been delving deeply into Taoism again. Tao is what you do because it’s what you are. Tao is the way the world moves because it’s alive. Thinking doesn’t really grasp this. That which goes against [...] Continue to Seek…

What do you Hope?

Hope is the idea that you can go forward. It’s actually an instinct. They say animals don’t deal with things like hope, but observations show otherwise. Their motivations are in a sense more simple than our own, but that doesn’t necessarily mean much. Hope is an instinct. If we lived solely by our rational minds, then by all rational argument it wouldn’t be possible to deal with being alive. If everything were a cost benefit analysis then the benefit doesn’t justify the cost. Hence the despair when hope is lost. When one is forced to stop and confront that a hoped for things isn’t attainable, it is like tormenting an animal with food. They eventually start ignoring the food.

So hope isn’t just ‘wishing’? No it isn’t. Wishing is whim, and we can have random impulses at any time for no reason at all. Hope is in a sense synonymous with will to [...] Continue to Seek…

Shape Your World

Part of why some metaphysical practices seem to fail is that you deal with the energy of doubt, of fear, of hope. If you try to manifest you confront the whole world within you. This is why people often feel anxiety at the prospect of manifestation and here is the real trick. If you try to move the world, or as the Chinese say push the Tao, you will fail. To move the world, move with the world. That is the secret of all miracles, of the supposed ‘supernatural‘.

Is the trick to just “move” without thought? No, and in fact we don’t tend to move with thought. People use thought to freeze things. They don’t see it for what it is. Your thought, your memory, are part of your connection to the world. Your imagination. None of it ever has, or ever will occur in a void. You shape. [...] Continue to Seek…

Feel the Pulse of Life

Is it best to practice random acts of kindness? Yes, and I can say from personal experience. I have been no great success in life. Not ridiculously wealthy, or famous, or privileged, but many times I have avoided harm by having seen that effect and living according to it. Even spared a sibling of mine who is not a very pleasant man. Angers people routinely, but when he was living in a place I lived before he did, they discovered he was my brother and chose to excuse him with the warning that they would not tolerate misconduct. Not for his virtue, but in respect of me.

How do we tap into seeing this more and notice premonitions? You tap into it most basically with empathy, feeling the pulse of life. Don’t ignore another’s mood, good or bad. This doesn’t mean you have to act on it but do be aware. See [...] Continue to Seek…

All Connected

Our ideas aren’t necessary for events to happen, but they do influence. For all functional purposes our ideas govern our lives. When you see an event “in advance” there isn’t any time, you just see the event. Like quantum mechanics action at a distance. The event is the event whether it has “happened” or not, and whether that event will jell is often also visible. When you foresee an event is it not often sort of abstract and obscure? Like looking at a shadow puppet instead of an object, but they don’t all seem that way? Anyone ever have this experience?

Some events are more concrete than others, but on the whole there is that feeling of incompleteness about it, and it becomes more solid when you get closer. Actualizes more as energy builds. It can even take on a life of its own, even if you started the event, [...] Continue to Seek…

Human View

We created science with the notion that observation could reveal laws of reality. That it could be understood, and used to permit us more of what we desire. Freedom, power, health. This has proven true at least for the most part, but we hold the superstition that there are these little closed systems. Little splinter realities that aren’t and can’t be influenced by other realities. Like dreams. You retire tonight and have a bad nightmare. You dream your partner is cheating on you, or your boss has it out for you. You may wake in the morning and try to rationally dismiss it, but even psychology reveals that that is a half truth at best. It will affect you no matter how “in touch with reality” you are.

To return to precognition, let’s go ahead and be rationalistic about it. It could be that any premonition is just the emergence [...] Continue to Seek…

Knowing in Advance

Time and space are not constants. It is more a Swiss cheese than a solid supportive object, and there have been many examples of it. For me it’s a pretty frequent event, and I suspect that many people experience it but it gets lost in the mental shuffle. Premonitions, a.k.a. pre-cognition, knowing in advance. We in a sense do it all the time though often it doesn’t seem like it because we control it. We project what we think is possible, and ignore those odd little twinges that seem to defy reason. That tell us what we think we will see isn’t exactly on. Sometimes it’s a recurrent visual image that just doesn’t make sense. Sometimes just a feeling that things will go in an unanticipated way.

Events are constructs of energy. Exchanges in time and space.

Why didn’t I have a premonition about that patch of poison ivy I got [...] Continue to Seek…

Negative Self Judgement

Here is an example of negative self judgement: A man feels that there must be something wrong with any woman who wants to be with him, and feeling this way has him sabotaging his relationships. In this case, he has learned to take relationships seriously, and likely has looked at his own behaviour in a very factual light. He can likely be very real with people. If he could see that his problem isn’t the problem and see the truth that lets him supposedly see this problem, he would not sabotage his relationships. He would see what he has to offer. He sees a weakness and his insight is a strength, but he judges his weakness greater than his strength. When his strength goes into feeding that weakness, he likely tires himself keeping that judgement of his self.

In my case, I tend to see myself without power in general. In [...] Continue to Seek…
