There is a third point which I meant to speak of today. In extreme distress, the normative process becomes compromised. The two classes of entity cross pollinate to give rise to beings that show neither general quality clearly, and these remain just as active as the rest entities and the distress entities. Each of the three being at constant play in our shared experience of consciousness.
Is this separation a semantic tool, or a reality? A reality. Pleasure taken to extremes becomes fear and pain. Pain taken to extremes becomes peace and even an ecstatic state of being.
That is one thing right? Yes, but under pressure this balance breaks down, loses the coherent structure and traits that give our psychic or psychological experience its sense of meaning. The gentle tone of a loving voice extending a hand in genuine compassion can become fearful, even odious. The smell of any potential food can become nauseating, and the notion that one can only survive on glue can come to make sense in that state.
That’s due to interpretation though? It’s due to state change. There is no interpretation without occupation of state in being. These deranged entities existed before the deranged state did.
You mean we can’t understand unless we’ve experienced it? Yes, but you have experienced much more than you have accepted, so you understand much more than you might rationalize you understand. Each mentally distressed element, each individual process or entity that can touch upon our awareness, also remains coherent. This is why we can diagnose mental illness and brain damage at all, and viruses have been causing brain damage well before any of the modern habits ever bent a mind.
Can we recognize that state if we have never experienced it? You can because its root contact point is in your mind. Your mind has the receptor for the state.
But isn’t it consciousness that experiences? Experience is an action. Consciousness does the action of experience. Consciousness first experiences consciousness itself, like a body awareness of a physical item inventory.
Can’t we experience without the brain? Well, I have been working from a strictly material point of view, because that has a chance of being a mutually understood point. Other conclusions I will leave to the individuals here.
Your thoughts are welcome. Be well friends.
