Favourite Entertainments Linked to Chronic Events

If anyone would care to offer, tell me about your favourite entertainments and I can tell you about the most chronic events in your life. Repeating or repetitive. Recurrent.

I like science shows, business shows, and anything that makes me laugh, and I play 3D online games. You tend to have things stripped of complexity. You seem to have options slip away on a regular basis. You enjoy your life perhaps, but find that you run into problems in connecting with people, which makes much of your gains come with strings attached. Everyone’s life has complications, so I am not actually saying much.

I love cartoons, cooking shows and reading romance or suspense novels. You tend to move along at a brisk pace and find that though you do take things seriously, people often seem to view you as a curiosity more than an object of empathy.

I like some television, dogs, fantasy/adventure stories and video games, and reading about science, religion, and philosophy. You tend to be a bit removed from the real world from other peoples point of view. So events keep popping up to put you on a pedestal, and you likely surprise people from time to time, leaving them uncomprehending. This creates an escalating frustration, so more or less leaving you with a running theme of angst in your life.

I like to talk with beings not quite visible. I like to walk in the woods and talk to these beings, but for the most part I talk with them all the time when not present doing something specific. I like being with people, like minded people. You likely find yourself getting involved in really left field spontaneous experiences. You get a sense that you are to some degree living someone else’s life, even if you are involved fully in it, and from time to time run into issues that involve your own will not being included into the equation. Sort of side tracks of the more immediate consequence, like each event has aftershocks that you also have to work out.

I like making things on Second Life, and watching either art films or silly things like Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog and I like reading literature (Proust, Joyce) and then I might read a biography of the Ramones. I also like art and photography, and I love coming to your classes. You have a good set of fulfillments, but with the complication that everything seems like a creative venue with the fall out that typically follows artists. Being seen as deep and complex has made people defensive toward you, but not hostile. You have had situations go critical from people having a hands off stance, and you have likely grown to doubt yourself in situations involving open self- expression more than is constructive. What this results in is the “song that never ends”, and you either have put on the breaks yourself in dramatic ways, or wish you could.

I think I turn to my inner kid more often for entertainment these days. It’s a good practice.

Your thoughts are welcome. Be well friends.
