Misconceptions of Demonolatry

Common misinformation about demonolatry, misconceptions… Would beings that seek to foster fertility and continued life actually be gratified by the opposite of their intentions? Want to promote and preserve children so do the opposite of that?

Sacrifice? No. It would be an insult to the intelligence that has its existence, its embodiment, in the ongoing presence of those things. How many demons display animal traits?

Many, if not all. Just as Christians would go berserk if you defaced their death symbol, what honour would be showed to a dog faced demon if you hurt or killed dogs?

None. They would be angry. A demonolator seeks to cultivate a positive relationship with their demon, or set of demons, like a tribesman seeks to honour their totem, so that has requirements of their conduct. The ‘All is fair. Satan says do what you want.’ school of demonolatry is a joke. Even most satanists, who are not as a rule demonolators, do not espouse a do whatever you want without question philosophy. They teach doing what works, and what works is what the world says works, what the will of the people allows to work, and what your own conscience can tolerate.

It seems that satanists would be much different than demonolators. They are. Satanists are closer to Christians than they are to demonolators who would be closer in spirit to pagans.

Satanists just want to piss off their religious parents. No. Satanism is deeper than that, embracing a spirit that could well serve to heal today’s society. I could explain the essence of it simply. How long have people said “the devil made me do it” in one way or another?

A long time. Ever since the idea of him existed they embrace the figure of Satan as a symbol of acknowledging and accepting human nature. Their philosophy would be similar to the Dionysian, not anything so dull as being simply anti-christian. In vino veritas, is a concept that came from the Greek worship of Pan who is now used as a depiction of Satan. They believed that the moods and creative insights you have when drunk on wine were the wisdom of Pan/Dionysis being received by you, and as with all the gods your test in receiving that gift lies in finding constructive ways to use it. They actually had a teaching about moderation, consuming too much. Seeking Pan too often showed him disrespect and instead of being an honest follower they believed he could become fed up and take you as a slave instead.

So people who have sex when they are drunk and then regret it should just blame Pan. No, they should blame themselves. All Pan does is show them that the sex drive is still there, that they are still alive. He doesn’t tell them what to do with that.

Yes, but that would require accepting responsibility, and we all know that won’t happen. Satanism as a religion is huge on accepting responsibility. They find a number of faults with Christianity, denying personal responsibility being one of the big ones. So you could call satanists, at least the sane ones, conscientious objectors.

Do what you like and then just confess and all is forgiven. Yes, that’s a Christian comment. Satanism teaches piss someone off and be prepared to face their rage, no guilt involved.

Your thoughts are welcome. Be well friends.
