Personal Presence First

Where do we find the experience of self?

Personally, only within.

Experience is what I see mirrored to me in others.

I think in ourselves, and in our interactions with others.

When we explore our inner nature, do we discover an alien being? Alien as in foreign? My point is that you find the truest connections with others when you discover a spiritual resonance.

Nothing is foreign once you encounter it. This is true. Is everything in your nature actually determined by others?

It seems you must/should encounter many within that resonance, and not every soul you encounter can provide all you need spiritually, so to have a sphere of many in harmonic melody, is wonderful. Indeed.

Do you know any people who when you are in their presence you never feel burdened?

Oh, yes. Care to tell us what that is like? It is like my grandmothers living room, snug, comfortable, a fire burning. It is home. My heart expands thinking of it. The feeling of being without burden.

Is it not because you feel acknowledged there? Fully in your own being? Oh yes, fully. We don’t have to live like harnessed horses.

I feel more taken care of. Being taken care of can be a burden though.

There is another way that we can be in the world, but it begins by putting our personal presence first. Only then can we be present for others and others be fully present for us. People speak of giving their whole self to someone or something else, but do they actually do this?

I am not sure that is possible. We are so multi-faceted. We may wish to at the moment.

What they’re giving themselves to is actually inside them, otherwise it won’t endure?

If it is done without expectation or attachment, there isn’t any “friction”.

Does it ever seem like life is broken, disjointed, like there is some sort of continuity issue?

Is that when you have the choice between the red and blue pill? Yes. That is the point in which you make the choice. Before enlightenment, chop wood and carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood and carry water. But things are still different after. You can give of your whole being, but not to any single situation.

Your thoughts are welcome. Be well friends.
