Selection is Free Won’t

Your mind builds any of your perceptions. How it builds it depends on how you have outlined what you believe to be real. You create a blueprint that your mind uses to assemble experiences into a perception. Most people actually don’t knowingly create their own blueprint, instead working from cultural or societal generalizations. You create the perceptions society has told you to, and everything you experience is something society told you you would experience. To take a line from Pink Floyd; What did you dream? Never mind we told you what to dream, but despite the human tendency to adopt patterns imprinted on it by society, this is not the only thing possible.

It occurs to me that the only reason we take a problem to someone else is because we’re stuck on our perception. We need a new viewpoint to get out of the problem mode. Getting a new perception can be helpful if the person questioned is themselves differently perceptive. Friends don’t help friends solve problems very often.

So, it’s true you cannot manufacture the interpretation of your sensations out of nothing, but you can consciously, selectively adopt memes that you will form your perceptions out of. Selection is “free won’t.” You can’t just decide that agony doesn’t affect you, but you can arrive at a point in your awareness where agony doesn’t automatically mean you panic.

I totally get free won’t. In fact, last night I said if I say I am good no one will believe me, if I say I am bad everyone believes me! Indeed, you make the biggest impression based not on what you buy into, but on what you have opted out of. For those of you who have come to know me well, what would you say I have opted out of?

The Machine?

Mainstream life.

Conformity to established thought.

I prefer to take ownership of my memetic narrative. I select for things that support my own conscious integrity, and leave everything else out in the field of information that everything comes from.

Make you own reality. But I make my reality out of the same elements everyone else does. We are all here now, but I have selected different things and arrayed them differently.

“Welcome my son, welcome to the machine
What did you dream? It’s alright we told you what to dream
You dreamed of a big star, he played a mean guitar
He always ate in the steak bar
He loved his Jaguar
So welcome to the machine “

I like to tinker with astral or spiritual machines. I fancy myself a bit of an engineer, and that is actually to focus on my concern. I am working with the system behind the systems.

Your thoughts are welcome. Be well friends.
