Spirituality for Living

I contemplate grim things in my life. I admit this freely. And some others think that I do harm in these dark meditations but I see them in the “light” of the bigger picture. I just admit my natural inclination.

Anyone ever practice scrying? When you affix your gaze in scrying, into ink or water or a mirror, you mirror that state. It stills the mind. Often times, considering the counter to your views stills your mind. Consider the shadow and you often times can see light more deeply because it stills your mind.

The true light shows that there is no contradiction anywhere. In my contemplations of the nature of instability, I see also a stability in the world. Dynamics that can endure when forms fail. When you contemplate failure without a vested interest in it being bad, you see that there is no failure. It is obvious and that is why the subject is so tricky. “Bad” feelings can seem to outnumber the “good” ones? Likely because you fight them. If you look deeply are the good feelings truly “good“? The intoxication of love. Quite some euphoria. How many have a harsh fall from that height?

When thing go wrong what makes it wrong? Isn’t something going wrong a view of the individual? All paths lead to the center. The great way is a path with heart. Love is the law. To reject a path as unworthy because it may not suit you? But many progress in life in ways that are ill suited to another. A path with love is valid. A path with heart is valid.

I have friends who seek me out, usually when at their wits end. When all they can see is blackness. Because I see these things and see them in a way that changes their view. If they permit it, the view is freeing. Because I am not afraid of the darkness that surrounds them and their thoughts. Is everyone suited to this darkness? No. But suited or not, we all get a turn. So perhaps those who scout ahead are worthy of equal respect.

Light or dark? Left handed path or right? Just a thought. I see that wisdom is where you find it. Have heard it stated very clearly. If this were heaven or hell, how would you choose to live? It’s the fighting that is the problem, not the shadow.

The ancients used to see mirrored images as another world. I say the world is whole on both sides.
