Spirituality for Living

There is an old saying that should give us a valuable map to the core of our inspiration. I paraphrase, Beauty is truth and truth beauty. We have a dark side to what moves us, and the most discordant strains of a familiar song will still be recognizable. But we know the measure of truth by its harmony with the great song of life.

Why am I so fascinated by energy that “strays”? To continue with the music metaphor, even without percussion instruments any sound has what is called a “beat pattern”, breaks in the tones. This is necessary to the structure, meaning and beauty of the song. Someone has to keep the beat and some souls are well suited to that. These individuals also tend to enjoy beat heavy music, harder rock, intense tribal, stuff like that. As a matter of fact, tell me of your favourite style of music, and I can give you a clue to your inspiration.

My moody music says what? Moody music tends to be a contemplative. They are here to perceive the world deeply and give space for its healing. They tend to be very harmonious creators who create for the greater good and are inspired by the word itself.

I like all kinds of music, but usually if it’s a little strange I like it better. Like Charles Ives playing two melodies at once. You then are a seer. A visionary who can contribute much by considering things that do not occur to other minds.

Silence. One who favours silence is a gate keeper. They often serve best as examples of the transcendent in mortal life.

I like heavy flowing ballads that change direction and tone. Usually punctuated by a complete reversal. You are a leader. You are willing to enhance the paths of all who accept your part in their lives and are genuinely altruistic.

Your heavy rock? My heavy rock would be a destroyer. I contribute by removing old strained patterns and stagnant energy on any level they may occur. I‘m not really fit to lead anyone, but can put people back on ground zero.

These are just one symbol and can be fleshed out to explore ones inspiration more deeply, but they will be consistent with your other levels of consciousness. Sometimes the music metaphor doesn’t relate well in some peoples perception.
