We are not the only creatures that live here. Fey are heavily invested in the operation of our world because their own life processes are shared with the systems of our world as a whole. Everything in nature has its fey symbiotic. A companion to the normal world creature, and some creatures and their fey have never trusted or been friendly toward humanity. The Unseelie.
The Dark Fey fall into the line of the fey of “barren” places. The places humanity has considered barren. They are called dark because in their section of the fey world they are willing to do things the more pastoral fey are not able to do or are not equipped to do.
