Category: Dark Metaphysics

There are very few frank and well reasoned discussions of the dark side of metaphysics. So I thought a class focused on the darker side of metaphysics might serve a valuable role.

What I classify as dark actually falls into what might be called the “shadowed” real of the already occult. This series on Dark Metaphysics is not for indulging anyone’s morbidity. Nor will I advocate the egotistical behaviour associated with many posers to the dark side. It may mirror for you your own path, and thus teach you more about your own way, and you may discover that it is your personal way.

What do you want to know about the dark side?

“The laws and descriptions which make up the literature of occultism can never be a substitute for experience. They indicate directions in which experiment may be made, and in many cases their validity may be known quite promptly to those who will pursue their indications with resolution and energy. They are not intended as a field for … speculation.” Hugh Shearman, An Approach to the Occult

  • Influencing Techniques

    Influencing Techniques

Has anyone heard of the concept of hex death? For a member of one of the more “primitive” communities, having a reputation of being someone possessed of supernatural power opens a window. The person need not publicly pronounce ill intention toward anyone in the community. Just the contact they have with various members of their…

  • How to Counter Subjugation

    How to Counter Subjugation

Denial is insufficient counter for all the forces involved behind subjugation magick. If you reject every form of stimuli the world has to offer, you will still not be free. Idle minds are the puppet master’s playground. What you refuse to hear just goes more directly to your subconscious mind. Even science points out that…

  • Hack What is Hacking Us

    Hack What is Hacking Us

So, what would you create? You will be what you desire to be. You will be what you imagine being, and more specifically, what you have lead others to image you are. That’s the really sort of twisted part of this whole dynamic in reality. Ironic, in trying to ‘control’ ourselves we allow others to control…

  • Mind the Landscape While You Shape Reality

Mind the Landscape While You Shape Reality

To the schizo- phrenic, their hallu- cinations make their brain behave as if what they are experiencing is literally true. While you sleep and dream, your brain doesn’t even really use your sensory centers or the banks of memory associated with those in a “reasonable” way. Instead, the dreaming brain generates all those vivid experiences…

  • Fear of Overcoming Fear

    Fear of Overcoming Fear

I have painted a scary picture of the world today in Subjugation, no? If it’s only moderately scary than excellent, because I want to deal in something other than fear itself. Can you fear things as well as fear your own fear? Can you be afraid of heights and afraid of fear at the same…

  • Fear of Physical Dependence

    Fear of Physical Dependence

Fear of physical dependence as if I were paralysed. Describe that fear? Why do we fear physical dependency? Helplessness. Loss of control over personal body. Yes, loss of control. Do you have control? And a burden to others. Do you impose no burdens on others while well? I can feed myself and get around independently,…

  • Line Between Sacred and Profane Arts

Line Between Sacred and Profane Arts

Today’s subject is not just about general mania, and mania isn’t as dramatic or obvious as people might think. There is a condition medical types refer to as hypomania. The person is generally very much in control of themselves, just very focused and ambitious with intense emotional states cropping up, but again no loss of…

  • Coping Strategy

    Coping Strategy

In my view, the world is full of paths. All are true and proper components of reality. Paths of light and shadow, creation and elimination. All dynamics have to take their place in the cycle of things. It is also my view that different beings naturally align with different phases of the grand cycle, like…

  • Maniac Struggles

    Maniac Struggles

To elaborate on my statement about morality not being the split between the light and dark, many who knowingly take a dark view of the world do so for moral reasons. They actually do it to preserve their sense of morality. They feel a compulsion to preserve some shred of justice. They commit to making…

  • What Common Ground?

    What Common Ground?

Perhaps an experiential example… They have tested this under functional magnetic resonance imaging (FMRI). They have deliberately set up a pattern recognition test. In the test they set up a group to participate in the testing, but only one is a test subject. The rest are knowing controls. While under FMRI, they flash a set…

  • Common Ground in Perception

    Common Ground in Perception

Would my self-identification be welcome? I am one of those action oriented types. My developmental disorder has created conditions that denied “stability” from day one. Most who fall into my medical category actually shut down completely. It isn’t catatonia. They have an “allergy” to any sensory impression, everything is pain, and everything is too much…

  • My Perception of Humanity

    My Perception of Humanity

It takes me a great deal to really believe in people’s innocence or good intentions, but I can understand someone else’s purity. If I let myself experience that moment fully with them, I can feel the genuine loving motive, and although I know it will pass, I can allow that genuine good moment to exist…

  • The Ties That Bind

    The Ties That Bind

I think binding work is like a detox? It is, and classical western binding was even practised by a sorceror called a pharmakon, and yes, it’s the word we get pharmacy from. But binding specifically was a wide spread practice, especially among the upper echelons of Greek and Roman society. The pharmakon or sorcerer wasn’t…

  • Illusion Rules Reality

    Illusion Rules Reality

I’ve noticed people joking about their bad luck in gaming, dice rolls, etc. and they have the bad luck. It is completely foreign to me to act like that, perhaps that’s why I get the good luck. She does. In all our gaming she does well to moderate, and moderate only on what for her…

  • Stuck in Loops

    Stuck in Loops

Ceremony, simple or complex depending on whatever suits you best, is not the only way to establish binding. One can focus inward, and through meditation alter the influence of others. It can’t be erased, but it’s general impact, it’s character and thus it’s individuality can be negated. What about meditation can’t be erased? Ah, the…

    Claim Your Own Mind

What’s the most common name you get called? Any volunteers? Or most common way you are negatively described? Well, if it’s online, the first thing they say is ‘troll’, which is always wrong and shows their lack of understanding. Yes, so let’s use that name, troll. You first think of its meaning. Anyone they don’t agree…

  • The Submerging Fantasy

    The Submerging Fantasy

You know how they say time heals all wounds? You don’t have to wait for time to pass. You can speed the process. Forgotten memories get dreamed about. So if you take a new memory, that you have processed and generalized, and then let it spin off into an absurd fantasy, as long as the…

  • Strategy for Binding

    Strategy for Binding

The strategy I spoke of… People who would wrong you are generally possessed of a number of weaknesses, shortcomings and character flaws. Weak willed people tend to try to compensate by being temperamental. Well, we all have an instinct to sync with those around us. The brain absolutely must make sense of every situation it’s…
